Do you need a quiet space to prioritise your creative work, have time to stop, think and write?
Join us for this relaxed writing time in the peaceful gardens belonging to two of our members in Chandlers Ford.
The session will run from 10:00 – 16:00 with tea/coffee/soft drinks provided.
Please bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy together in the gardens.
What to bring: notebook and pens, laptop or writing tablet – anything that works for you.
What to expect: a relaxed few hours dedicated to your own work or responding to the seasonal prompts provided.
Lunch together and an opportunity to discuss and/or share your work afterwards.
This special event is limited to ten spaces.
Please note dogs are not allowed.
There will be parking for up to 5 cars and nearby on street parking. The number 1 bus is a ten min walk away at Thorndean School.
Accessibility: there is a fully accessible washroom and the grounds are mainly flat, there are a couple of steps in places and some sloped areas. If anyone has any accessibility queries please get in touch.
Booking open for HWS members. This event is available to HWS members and free of charge, however, booking is required as places are limited.

Programme
● 10 -10:30 Welcome and coffee
● 10:30 – 12:30 Writing on your own project or responding to prompts.
● 12:30 – Lunch. Bring your own picnic.
● Drinks provided.
● 1:30 – 2:30 Opportunity to share from your project (for those who wish to.)
● 2:30 Writing about an object. Please bring a small object which reminds you of summer.
● 3:00 Open mic for those who wish to share. Tea and biscuits provided.
● 3:30 Closing reflections on the day.
● 4:00 End.
We will be distributed around the house and garden, including the summerhouse and
gazebo. Internet is available in most areas. There is room for us in the house in the event of rain.
Please bring up to three copies of your own published work, for sale or barter, if you have some.
