There’s lots here to keep you busy and we look forward to receiving your entry in the next HWS competition, but remember to check our competition rules!

HWS JANUARY 2022 WRITING COMPETITION – deadline 25th January

Green Story Competition

This month’s competition story must show a green solution e.g. someone enjoying a low carbon activity/product/innovation or helping nature in some way. For example:

•   what might a green/sustainable society might look like?

•   how might we get to a green/sustainable society?

•   smuggle green solutions/role models into a story.

Write a short piece from the point of view of the person committing the crime. What are they thinking and what might they have done?

November 2021 Writing Competition – now closed

Write a letter to a close relative with gossip about your mutual acquaintance. 

Winners to be announced at our December meeting on Tuesday 14th December.
