Brief: A short fiction prose piece on the subject of “Witness”: Witness can mean many things – witnessing a crime, witnessing the passing shadow of the moon during an eclipse, witnessing deer passing on a snowy verge (à la Ted Hughes in his poem Roe Deer), witnessing a street fight or a moment between friends, etc. It is the aspect of not just seeing, but a moment of profound significance and all it portends.
