Lucy Worsley

At Home with Jane Austen

Wed 28 Jun, 7.30pm | The Haymarket

Dr Lucy Worsley is passionate about making history engaging to the widest possible audience. Her new biography of Jane Austen takes a fresh look at the author’s life from the perspective of her bicentenary, dispelling the myth of the cynical, lonely spinster. Lucy instead offers us a witty and passionate woman of her time, who refused to settle for anything less than her own Mr Darcy. Come and explore the life and times of one of England’s most famous writers, with the charming and knowledgable presenter behind BBC documentaries Elegance and Decadence: The Age of the Regency, A Very British Romance and most recently Six Wives with Lucy Worsley.

Copies of Lucy’s book will be available to purchase by cash only.

Post-show Talk

Stay in your seat after the performance for a free Q&A with Lucy.
